Drivers Ed Segment I Class

Students interested in taking Segment 1 Driver Education this summer through Mancelona Schools may enroll at the Superintendent's office beginning Tuesday, June 20 at 112 St Johns Ave from 8 am - 4 pm.  The enrollment window for the summer class closes Thursday, June 22, at 3:30. 

Enrollment for this course is limited.  Enrollment will be limited to 18 students based on district eligibility.  Students who will be 15 years old by November 10, 2023 and carry a minimum 1.66 G.P.A. are eligible to enroll in this course.  The total cost of the program is $300.  Payment in the form of cash or check is due at the time of sign-up.  Enrollment in this class is not confirmed until full payment has been made and district eligibility requirements for the enrolling student have been verified. 

Segment 1 Driver Education is scheduled to begin July 10 with a parent meeting in the Mancelona Middle School library starting at 10:00 AM.  Classroom instruction begins on Tuesday, July 11, beginning at 10:15 in the morning and lasting until 12:15.  The class will meet in Room 253 at Mancelona Middle School.  A calendar listing dates for classroom instruction will be provided during the first week of class.  Daily classroom attendance is mandatory.
