Batter up, Mancy All-Star Readers!
In honor of March is Reading month, you have been recruited to participate in our Hit A Home Run Reading Challenge. Our team needs your help reaching our goal! Your task is to catch a good book and read for 15 minutes each school day throughout March. Your ELA teacher will verify if you have met this goal each day by awarding you points. If you hit a home run and read for 15 minutes EVERY day, you could earn a FREE ticket to a Traverse City Pit Spitters home baseball game! This year, we also have a friendly competition between grade levels. Mrs. Jones will be updating the scoreboard with reading RBIs for our 5th Grade Rookie Readers, 6th Grade All Star Readers, 7th Grade Major League Readers, and 8th Grade Hall of Fame Readers. The winning team will have bragging rights, and players of the week will earn a special surprise! Step up to the plate by wearing your favorite baseball cap and team jersey to school on Monday. Let's knock this challenge out of the ballpark! ⚾📚✨
