Once again we are planning a great way to start the new 2013-14 school year. On Wednesday, September 4th parents and students will have an opportunity to meet our administrators and teaching staff in their respective buildings.

2nd Grade Visit Ghana, Africa


On Friday, October 19th, Mrs. Roesstorff's 2nd grade class traveled to Ghana, Africa in a virtual field trip. They met with other elementary students in Ghana to learn about their culture. Mrs.

Mrs. Kennedy's 4th grade class met with the author of several well known children's books on Tuesday, April 17th. Laurie Keller, who lives in Muskegon, MI virtually met with Mancelona Elementary students along with other classes from Montana, Kansas, Ohio and Texas. Ms.

Grant for Clasroom Projectors

The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa & Chippewa Indians granted Mancelona Elementary School $9,886.52 for classroom projectors. With these projectors students will be able to watch videos that connect to classroom curriculum, see pictures and particate in demonstrations to make learning more engaging.
