The Mancelona Early Childhood Summer Program Is On the Go!

It has been a very active summer for the Mancelona Early Childhood school aged children.  We have been very fortunate to be able to participate in many local programs provided by the Township Library, Peer Mentoring and MSU Extension. 

In addition to all of the in-service experiences that the we have had, we have also been on the go quite a bit!  The children and staff have made a list of destinations for the summer and have scheduled a trip every other week!  The first trip of the summer was to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.  The teenaged peer mentors graciously volunteered to attend this trip to spend time and help with the younger group.  WALL-E was also a big hit at the Bellaire Theater!  The next trips scheduled are The Call of the Wild and Hartwick Pines! 

We have an end of the summer blow-out trip planned in August!  We still have space available for school aged children to attend our weekly programs.  If you and your child are interested in attending, please call 587-9021!
