Student of the Month

Ashley Derrer, a senior this year, has been selected as the Mancelona Rotary Club’s Student of the Month for January, 2012.  She is a leader in and out of the classroom, athletic arena and art studios, according to her teachers.  Her favorite subjects are Visual Imaging and Math.  Ashley is a team player, as evidenced by her membership in the National Honor Society, Student Council, Natural Helpers and the Youth Health and Wellness Committee. This young lady is also the Vice-President of the National Technical Honor Society, a Mancelona DAR Citizen, a People to People Student Ambassador and a member of the Ironmen Health Center committee.  Ashley is very passionate about volleyball, basketball, softball and tutoring/mentoring fellow students, too!
