Ironmen Health Center TAC

On October 26th students from the Ironmen Health Center Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) attended a Project Voice Youth Conference in Frankenmuth, MI. The students were treated to an inspirational and powerful presentation
by the original Freedom Writer students as well as receiving personal signed autographed copies of The Freedom Writers Diary. During the afternoon the students participated in interactional workshops to learn advocacy
skills to bring back to their school and community.

The Ironmen Health Center TAC has also created a video that will be available on the MPS web page. With the help of former Mancelona School graduate Jordan Jones, the video showcases services available at the IHC as well
as how the TAC is involved in the planning of these services.
The Ironmen Health Center staff is committed to working together with parents and families to improve the health and well being of young people in Antrim County. All youth age 10-21 and their children are welcome and no
one is denied services due to an inability to pay. Private insurance like Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MI and Priority Health are accepted; as well as, Medicaid, MI-Child, and Healthy Kids. IHC staff can also help families enroll in Medicaid, MI-Child, or Healthy Kids. MI-Child is a health insurance program for uninsured children ages 0-19 at an affordable price. Healthy Kids is a free health care coverage for pregnant women, babies, and children
under age 19.
